Job summary

BOS Innovation and Technology Center in Katowice is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to create 3D CATIA V5 models and 2D drawings for automotive components. You will maintain engineering documentation in PDM/PLM systems and apply GD&T to ensure precision.

You will also implement ECOs, update BOMs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout development and manufacturing processes. A technical degree and CATIA V5 expertise are required.

Job description

• Work mode: hybrid model - 5 working days from the office (Katowice) every two weeks
• Type of contract: only employment contract

What you will be responsible for?

• Create and update 3D models and 2D technical drawings in CATIA V5 according to company and customer standards.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation in PDM/PLM systems.
• Support design and development activities for automotive components and assemblies.
• Apply dimensional and geometric tolerances (GD&T) in technical documentation.
• Implement engineering changes (ECOs) and update bills of materials (BOMs).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve technical solutions.
• Support prototype and sample build activities.
• Contribute to product improvement and continuous development projects.

You will be a great fit if you:

• Technical education in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree, Technician, or equivalent qualification).
• Knowledge of CATIA V5 for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems.
• Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• CATIA V5 practical experience.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a team.
