Job summary

CaptivateIQ is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for the Platform Pillar to lead Core Platform and IIAM teams. You’ll drive the foundation for event-driven architecture, APIs, data connectors, identity and access management, and secure workflows.

This role centers on building a scalable, reliable, and high-performing engineering core while growing Poland-based teams in a remote-first setup. You will partner with Product, Design, and cross-functional leaders to align roadmaps and standards,

Qualifications

• Extensive software development experience and a proven track record as an Engineering Manager
• Strong product sense and delivery across full product lifecycle in B2B SaaS
• Ability to provide technical depth and guide senior engineers to sound decisions
• Strategic thinker with horizon 6–12 months and portfolio management
• Excellent written and verbal communication in a remote-first environment
• Track record of hiring and developing senior engineering talent

Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire, and grow multiple distributed software engineering teams with a focus on high trust and psychological safety
• Mentor and coach engineers to grow senior and staff-level capabilities
• Own end-to-end delivery and operational excellence of your teams’ portfolio, ensuring reliability and security at scale
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and cross-functional leaders to set vision and roadmaps
• Provide technical leadership by setting architectural guardrails and guiding major decisions
• Uphold engineering standards, SLAs/SLOs, security best practices, and QA processes
• Champion async-first practices to enable effective collaboration across an 8-hour time zone spread
• Demonstrate a strong product sense and drive performance across backend services, APIs, and integrations
