Job summary

Frontiers is hiring a Platform Product Manager to own IAM and Messaging roadmaps, partnering with Platform Engineering to shape architecture and API contracts. You will translate engineering needs into prioritized work, and define success metrics for internal teams.

The role focuses on internal engineering customers, with a strong emphasis on security, scalability, and compliant, API‑driven services. Office presence is prioritized, with dedicated development teams and learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Technical/Platform Product Management or engineering leadership.
• Platform‑as‑a‑product mindset: build for internal engineering customers, not end users.
• Solid software‑engineering fundamentals for architecture discussions and API specs.
• APIs as products: design, versioning, documentation and lifecycle management.
• Distributed‑systems literacy: backend systems, messaging and authentication protocols.
• Reliability & cloud awareness: SLAs/SLOs, uptime, latency, and cloud infra familiarity.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical/technical experience.
• Professional‑level English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the roadmap for IAM and Messaging — prioritize against internal demand and security needs.
• Turn engineering needs into clear specs and a prioritised backlog in PRDs/SDDs.
• Co‑design with Platform Engineering on architecture trade‑offs and API contracts.
• Own the service/API lifecycle — versioning, deprecation, backward compatibility.
• Be the primary contact for internal customers integrating with IAM and Messaging.
• Define and track success metrics — adoption, reliability, integration time, security, cost.
• Partner with Security, Architecture and Infrastructure to meet compliance standards.
• Communicate roadmap and priorities clearly to engineering leadership.
