Job summary

Holisticon Connect, a division within NEXER GROUP, seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable cloud platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will drive IaC, CI/CD, and automation while ensuring security and reliability, collaborating with engineers, architects, and product teams in a fully remote or Wrocław-based setup.

The role combines software engineering with cloud infrastructure, emphasizing platform governance and observability to accelerate development

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar role.
Strong experience with Python development.
Hands-on experience with FastAPI or similar backend frameworks.
Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL administration, performance tuning, and integrations.
Extensive experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Solid experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
Strong understanding of DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering principles.
Experience designing secure, scalable, and maintainable cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable platform services and cloud infrastructure in GCP.
Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
Develop and maintain platform services and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
Manage and optimize PostgreSQL environments and platform integrations.
Ensure high availability, observability, reliability, and security of platform services.
Collaborate with engineers and product teams to improve developer experience and platform adoption.
Implement and maintain cloud governance, access controls, and security best practices.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve platform and infrastructure issues.
Drive automation initiatives to reduce operational overhead and improve service quality.
Support networking, connectivity, and identity management across cloud environments.
