Job summary

Zebra Technologies is seeking a passionate SW/FW Senior Platform Engineer (Level 3) to join our smart camera development team. You will help build the next-generation vision platform, focusing on platform bring-up and management services, with an emphasis on Linux systems and AI-assisted workflows.

You’ll work with modern C++ (C++20), Python, and Bash, applying Yocto for platform bring-up and systemd for init, while collaborating across teams to design robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux fundamentals and system management.
• Creative, proactive problem solver with a builder mindset.
• Experience with Python, Bash, and systemd.
• Solid foundation to read/modify and learn modern C++ (C++20) with AI tools.

Responsibilities

• System Bring-Up: Linux platform bring-up using Yocto and systemd initialization.
• Service Development: develop/maintain platform management services in modern C++ and C.
• Automation: automate behaviors, tests, and deployment workflows using Python/Bash.
• AI-Assisted Workflows: leverage AI coding assistants to focus on system design.
