At Zebra Technologies, we are seeking an Advanced SW/FW Platform Engineer (Level 4) to define the technical direction for our edge-based smart cameras. You will lead platform bring-up, architect Yocto layers, and integrate NPUs for real-time image processing.

You will drive Linux-based platform services in modern C++, mentor team members, and champion AI-driven coding methodologies to scale output and quality.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Linux kernel, bootloaders, and systemd orchestration.
• Extensive experience in modern C++ for high-performance systems.
• Proven ability to solve hardware/software integration challenges under constraints.
• Self-driven builder with mentoring capabilities.

Responsabilités

• Technical Leadership: Set the architectural vision for Linux-based smart camera platforms and design robust platform services.
• System Bring-up Strategy: Lead complex bring-up efforts, defining Yocto layers and BSP architectures tying hardware to software.
• Advanced NPU Orchestration: Architect infrastructure for on-board NPUs enabling real-time, hardware-accelerated processing.
• Process Innovation: Promote agentic AI coding practices to boost team output and code quality.
• Cross-Functional Debugging: Serve as escalation point using schematics, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
