Job summary

Zebra Technologies is seeking a Senior Computer Vision Software Developer to join the Core Smart Camera Software team. You will work on cross-platform native codebases including the on-device Linux runtime and vision tools integration library, delivering robust, high-performance software close to hardware.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in modern C++ (C++17/20/23), multi-threading, IPC, and building with CMake and Conan/vcpkg, plus familiarity with GenAI/Agentic AI tools to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Establishes requirements and prioritizes features for cross-platform native software projects (on-device runtime engine and vision tools integration library).
• Completes all phases of software design and development using modern C++ (C++23).
• Leads and participates in code reviews with high quality standards (0 warnings, clang-tidy, clang-format, SonarQube).
• Explores and applies agentic AI programming tools to accelerate coding and enhance implementations.
• Reviews and refines existing software designs, optimizing real-time image-processing pipelines and IPC on hardware.
• Develops tests and create comprehensive documentation to deliver a high-quality product to the market.
• Provides recommendations across architecture, hardware boundaries, machine vision.
• May develop custom tools or scripts (CMake, Python) to streamline cross-compilation, analysis, debugging, or automated testing processes.
• Mentors junior-level personnel and networks with senior internal/external personnel.
