Job summary

Zebra Technologies is seeking a passionate Senior Platform Engineer (Level 3) to join its smart camera development team. You will contribute to the next-generation vision platform, focusing on platform bring-up, system initialization, and management services using Linux, Yocto, and modern C++.

The role emphasizes robust design and AI-assisted coding practices. Responsibilities include system bring-up, service development, and automation via Python/Bash, with opportunities to impact edge AI

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Linux OS fundamentals and system management.
• Proficient in Python and Bash scripting.
• Ability to read, modify, and learn modern C++ (C++20) with AI-assisted tools.
• Experience with Yocto Project a plus.

Responsibilities

• System Bring-Up: assist with Linux platform bring-up using Yocto and manage initialization with systemd.
• Service Development: build and maintain platform management services in modern C++ and C.
• Automation: script behaviors, testing tools, and deployment workflows using Python and Bash.
• AI-Assisted Workflows: integrate AI coding assistants to accelerate development while focusing on system design.
