Job summary

SPD Technology seeks a Senior Payments Processing Engineer to join a product team building payment infrastructure for merchants and partner platforms. You will own end-to-end payment flows and work with a modern stack (TypeScript/NestJS, PostgreSQL, CI/CD).

You will integrate processors like Adyen, Stripe, Braintree, and Worldpay, design idempotent workflows, and ensure PCI DSS controls. The role is fully remote with 4–6 hours of overlap with US Central Time, offering a culture of excellence and

Qualifications

• 6+ years building production software and 3+ years in payments.
• Hands-on experience integrating processors with webhooks and edge-case handling.
• Strong understanding of card lifecycle and ACH/bank rails.
• Familiar with PCI DSS and data-security patterns.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payment flows from authorization to settlement.
• Build and maintain acquirer and processor integrations behind clean abstractions.
• Design hosted checkout experiences and tokenization to minimize PCI scope.
• Implement reconciliation and idempotency across services.
• Provide payments domain guidance and review payments-adjacent code.
