Affirm, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Card) to own and deliver backend platforms at scale. You will work across product and engineering teams, delivering high-quality systems with fast, reliable transaction processing and robust ledgering.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale with Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Experience shipping frontend applications.
• Ability to define a technical plan for the delivery of a significant feature or system component with an elegant, simple and extensible design.
• Experience making significant changes in a large code base with safe tooling and practices.
• Demonstrated ownership of growth, feedback, and collaboration with team and stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication for global engineering collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team, guiding engineers through ambiguity.
• Collaborate with product management, design & analytics across the lifecycle.
• Identify project, process, technology or business issues and lead in solving them.
• Support operations and availability of team artifacts, monitor metrics, and assist on-call efforts.
• Raise quality and ownership by improving code review and design standards.
• Mentor teammates and lead by example to develop talent.
