Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Kraków is seeking a Senior Operational Buyer with Spanish for Global Sourcing to manage global purchase orders, contracts, and supplier relationships. You will negotiate terms, issue POs, and support P2P processes in a rapidly growing Global Business Services center.

The role requires strong English and Spanish, SAP experience, and a proven track record in procurement. You will contribute to cost savings, risk management, and supplier performance while

Qualifications

• BA in Supply Chain, Business or similar.
• At least 3 years in a corporate environment, ideally in operational areas (supply chain, nuclear or highly technical).
• Fluency (written and spoken) in English and Spanish.
• Experience with SAP or an equivalent ERP system.
• Data analytical and reporting skills with an eye for detail.
• Knowledge of procurement end‑to‑end processes such as P2P, Record to Report, Order to Cash, Make to Order/Manufacture.

Responsibilities

• Purchase goods, materials, components, or services following specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Ensure supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations.
• Requests for quotations through RFQ/RFP and other methods, pricing, delivery, and Terms & Conditions with care for standards for assigned commodities.
• Manage the procure to pay process from engagement through to Purchase Order issuance and ensuring payment.
• Process Purchase Requisitions and create Purchase Orders.
• Proactively monitor confirmations of Purchase Orders from the suppliers.
• Proactively manage On Time Deliveries (and associated risks) in due coordination with suppliers and internal clients/requisitioners (plants, projects).
• Resolve issues related to Purchase Orders and Invoices in due coordination with Accounts Payable.
• Manage the creation of new vendors in the Approved Supplier List in due coordination with the Commercial pillar to ensure compliance with sourcing strategies.
• Explore alternate sources for goods and materials, plan and share with Buyers.
• Collaborate with internal customers and suppliers.
• Guide cost savings and reductions.
• Conduct risk analysis of selected suppliers considering material cost trends and capacity constraints.
• Facilitate contract change activities (including change requests, amendments, orders, renewals, and termination notices).
• Resolve scope or cost increases, net terms, supplier claims and disputes.
• Build supplier relationships and ensure implementation of our supply chain strategies.
• Oversee and mentor junior supply chain professionals (Buyers).
• Attend meetings and update others on issues or concerns, particularly when a risk could prevent the organization from meeting customer demands or where there are over‑capacity concerns.
• Coordinate daily work with accordance to volume and plant requirements.
• Actively contribute to the identification and implementation of process and systems improvements.
• Support a culture where high quality of work is the norm.

• Knowledge of procurement end‑to‑end processes such as P2P, Record to Report, Order to Cash, Make to Order/Manufacture
• Experience making decisions required to deliver expected services with quality
• Experience setting priorities, informing on risks, and making decisions when appropriate
• Knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, or distribution of equipment and associated suppliers is desirable

The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 9,250 to 11,600 PLN gross per month. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
