Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Kraków, Poland, seeks an experienced procurement professional to lead category management for assigned commodities. You will drive total cost reductions, supplier relationships, and risk mitigation while coordinating across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Procurement.
The role requires a BA/BS (MBA/MS preferred), 4+ years in procurement, and strong negotiation and data analysis skills. Excel, PowerBI, and ERP systems like SAP/Ariba are advantageous.

You will lead category and operational management for assigned commodities. You will take direction from the Senior Category Specialist and work to improve total cost, quality, delivery, and reliability to reach organizational goals. Strong relationship skills are required to manage internal and external suppliers to accomplish the role goal.
Primary relationship owner for suppliers within assigned commodities.
Manage the segmentation of assign spend into subcommodity groups to create levers to achieve operational excellence
Maintain an overall commodity strategy to meet organizational goals by improving Total Cost
Take an ownership (TCO) while securing supply continuity through identifying and mitigating current and potential risks and opportunities in the commodity strategy
Build commodity strategy by supply base "right-sizing" and business awards with Long Term
Agreements (LTA) with year over year improvements in cost, delivery, quality, service, and profitability
Review business analysis from PowerBI and other tools to create insights into the drivers of assign commodity and possible effects to spend projections to use as levers with our supply base
Support regular business reviews (SRM) with important and strategic suppliers with teams and senior leadership
Create presentations for supplier relationship management reviews, commodity strategies, risk mitigation proposals, 4-Blockers, and supplier/commodity gap analysis.
Support the plan to deliver annual results against metrics of payment terms, on-time delivery, productivity, inflation, and other metrics as determined by Procurement Leadership
Research, track, and communicate industry trends, best practices, applicable indices, and competitive offerings to identify opportunities for innovation, competitive advantage, and increased overall productivity
Develop a productive working relationship with peers on other teams: Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Procurement
BA/BS degree required (Preferably MBA or MS in any field of engineering)
Minimum 4 years of procurement experience (preferably within industries with complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects, with a focus on procurement)
Minimum 2 years of experience in negotiations including RFI, RFP, RFQ and contract development
Well developed Negotiating, Benchmarking, Market Analysis, Competitive Intelligence, and Procurement Projects Management skills
Experience with vendor management including purchase order issuance, execution, and administration
Previous experience analyzing and drawing conclusions from quantitative data
Ability to engage at all organizational levels and cultivate and sustain high quality professional relationships
Strong problem-solving skills along with time-management, prioritizing, planning
Competence maintain long term productive relationship with suppliers (SRM)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, MS Access, Project, and Visio
ERP system or similar system experience in a global environment is beneficial (SAP & Ariba)

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 9250 PLN to 11600 PLN gross per month. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
