Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Senior Operational Buyer with Spanish for Global Sourcing to support the new GBS centre in Krakow. You will negotiate and issue global purchase orders and contracts, manage P2P processes, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and cost savings.

The role requires 3+ years in procurement, fluency in English and Spanish, and experience with SAP or ERP systems. Hybrid work with a Poland-based office is offered.

Qualifications

To strengthen our Supply Chain Management team, we are looking for experienced candidates for the position Senior Operational Buyer with Spanish for Global Sourcing. Seize this unique opportunity to take an active part in shaping our new GBS centre and grow together with the rapidly developing organization. You will manage the negotiation and issuance of global purchase orders and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Purchase goods, materials, components, or services following specified cost, quality, and delivery targets
• Ensure supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations
• Requests for quotations through RFQ/RFP and other methods, pricing, delivery, and Terms & Conditions with care for standards for assigned commodities
• Manage the procure to pay process from engagement through to Purchase Order issuance and ensuring payment
• Process Purchase Requisitions and create Purchase Orders
• Proactively monitor confirmations of Purchase Orders from the suppliers
• Proactively manage On Time Deliveries (and associated risks) in due coordination with suppliers and internal clients/requisitioners (plants, project)
• Resolve issues related to Purchase Orders and Invoices in due coordination with Accounts Payable
• Manage the creation of new vendors in the Approved Supplier List in due coordination with Commercial pillar to ensure compliance with sourcing strategies
• Explore alternate sources for goods and materials, plan and share with Buyers
• Collaborate with your internal customers, and suppliers
• Guide cost savings and reductions
• Conduct risk analysis of selected suppliers considering material cost trends and capacity constraints
• Facilitate contract change activities (including change requests, amendments, orders, renewals, and termination notices)
• Resolve scope or cost increases, net terms, supplier claims and disputes
• Build supplier relationships and ensure
• Build implementation of our supply chain strategies
• Oversee and mentor junior supply chain professionals (Buyers)
• Attend meetings and update others on issues or concerns, in particular when there is a risk which could prevent the organization meeting customer demands or where there are over capacity concerns
• Coordinate daily work with accordance to volume and plant's requirements
• Actively contribute to process & systems improvements identification and implementation
• Support a culture where a high quality of work is the norm

Qualifications

• BA in Supply Chain, Business or similar
• Track record: minimum 3 years of experience in corporate environment, ideally in operational areas (supply chain, nuclear or highly technical areas)
• Fluency (written and spoken) in English and Spanish language
• Experience in building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with partners and suppliers
• Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP system
• Data Analytical and reporting skills with an eye for details
• Knowledge of Procurement end-to-end processes, such as P2P (Procure to Pay), Record to Report, Order to Cash, Make to Order/ Manufacture
• Experience in making decisions required to deliver expected services with quality
• Experience in setting priorities, informing on risks and when appropriate making decisions
• Knowledge of manufacturing, assembly or distribution of equipment and associated suppliers is desirable.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 9,250 to 11,600 PLN gross per month. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
