Critical Facility Group is seeking a Mechanical Technical Lead to own complex HVAC design for data centers and other mission-critical facilities. You will be the responsible licensed engineer on projects, guiding engineers and designers while ensuring design excellence.

The role emphasizes hands-on technical leadership, project ownership, and mentorship, with remote-first exposure and occasional site work as required.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in a US state.
• 8+ years of mechanical HVAC design experience.
• Experience leading complex projects from start to finish.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Willingness to travel approximately once a month.

Responsabilités

• Lead mechanical HVAC design for data centers and other mission-critical facilities from basis of design through issued construction documents.
• Establish design criteria and review calculations, equipment selections, drawings, and specifications.
• Delegate technical assignments, establish clear expectations, and review the work of supporting engineers and designers.
• Sign and seal engineering drawings as the engineer in responsible charge.
• Coordinate with electrical, controls, architecture, and project management teams.
• Respond to RFIs, review submittals, and resolve construction-phase technical issues.
• Take ownership of technical quality, project deliverables, and deadlines while mentoring and developing other engineers.
