Critical Facility Group is seeking a Mechanical Technical Lead to own complex HVAC design for data centers and other mission-critical facilities. You will be the responsible licensed engineer on projects, guiding engineers and designers while ensuring design excellence.

About Critical Facility Group
Critical Facility Group (CFG) is an MEP consulting and owner's project management firm specializing in data centers and mission-critical facilities. Our engineers and project managers design, build, and protect the infrastructure that keeps the world's most important systems running, from substations and power systems to mechanical, electrical, and telecommunications design.
We're a remote-first team of experienced professionals who value technical excellence, ownership, and collaboration. Most CFG roles are fully remote; our owner's project management team works on-site at client locations. At CFG, you'll work on complex, high-impact projects alongside people who care about doing the work right.

Take ownership of technical quality, project deliverables, and deadlines while mentoring and developing other engineers.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in a U.S. state.
Typically 8+ years of mechanical HVAC design experience, including independently leading complex projects from start to finish.
Proficiency in Revit.
Demonstrated experience delegating, coordinating, and reviewing the technical work of others.
Strong technical judgment, interdisciplinary coordination, and client communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
Ability to travel to project sites approximately once a month.

Comparable experience in technically demanding environments, including large healthcare facilities, cleanrooms, GMP facilities, laboratories, or campus central utility plants.
Experience with chilled‑water plants, heat rejection, CRAH/CRAC systems, liquid cooling, and controls sequences.
We're a growing team of engineers and project leaders focused on data centers and mission‑critical facilities.
