A leading technology company in Kraków is seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Mechanical Engineer to develop Automotive Compute Units. The role requires expertise in automotive electronic hardware design and strong collaboration skills. Responsibilities include leading mechanical design activities, ensuring compliance with EMC and ESD requirements, and working closely with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in the automotive industry and knowledge of manufacturing technologies. The position offers relocation support and extended medical benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Automotive Industry.
• Experience in automotive electronic hardware design.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies: sheet metal, die casting, plastics.
• Practical experience with GD&T.
• Solid understanding of EMC and ESD design requirements.
• Knowledge of thermal management and heat dissipation in electronic head units.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret internal and customer requirements using Polarion and DOORS.
• Lead mechanical design activities for computer products.
• Cooperate closely with CAD designers and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and product performance through tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Participate in creating Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Support thermal design with focus on active cooling.
• Ensure EMC and ESD compliance.
• Support thermal design with active cooling and MCIP.
• Work with sheet metal, die casting, and plastics in manufacturing.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Hardware Mechanical Engineer to support the development of Automotive Compute Units.

The role requires close cross-functional collaboration and strong technical ownership in mechanical design for automotive electronic hardware.

YOU WILL

• Analyze and interpret internal and customer requirements using tools such as Polarion and DOORS.
• Lead mechanical design activities for computer products
• Cooperate closely with CAD designers and cross-functional teams (Electrical Engineering, Validation, Material Engineering, etc.)
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and product performance (tolerance stack-up analysis, defining tolerances)
• Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) in design processes
• Participate in Bill of Materials (BOM) creation
• Ensure compliance with EMC and ESD requirements
• Support thermal design with focus on active cooling, MCIP, and alternative technologies.
• Work with manufacturing technologies, including sheet metal, die casting, and plastic components.
