Job summary

Accenture Poland is seeking an experienced IBM Mainframe Developer to support banking clients and deliver high-quality mainframe solutions.

You will analyze business requirements, design COBOL/JCL/CICS/z/OS applications, and optimize DB2/SQL performance while mentoring junior developers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in development and maintenance of IBM Mainframe applications.
• Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, CICS, and z/OS.
• Practical experience with DB2 databases, including SQL development, query optimization, and data analysis.
• Ability to analyze requirements and independently design and implement technical solutions.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues and optimizing existing applications.
• Proactive, self-driven with accountability for delivered solutions.
• Ability to collaborate within international project teams.
• English proficiency at minimum B2 level.

THE WORK:

• Develop and maintain strategic IBM Mainframe applications supporting critical business processes in the banking sector while demonstrating a commitment to constant progress and high-quality delivery.
• Analyze business requirements and design scalable solutions using COBOL, JCL, CICS, z/OS, and DB2, with a passion for personal development and continuous improvement.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues, optimize application performance, and implement enhancements with a proactive approach to skill enhancement.
• Collaborate with international project teams on modernization initiatives, integrating established Mainframe technologies with automation and AI-driven solutions while being motivated to embrace new opportunities.

Flexible: The work location for this role may include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office depending on specific project circumstances. HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
