Job summary

Akamai Technologies in Kraków is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our expert SRE team and help design, develop, and manage applications and infrastructure for Akamai's Compute products and services, maintaining reliability and scalability.

You will develop, test, and distribute changes to software, services, and tools; build CI/CD pipelines; and collaborate with support, operations and engineering teams to troubleshoot complex problems.

Qualifications

Expert level Linux internals and system administration.
Deep kernel knowledge and virtualization tuning for KVM/QEMU.
Design, develop, deploy software and infrastructure at scale.
Development or SRE experience with large-scale distributed systems.
Experience with Shell scripts and Python code.
Experience with SaltStack, Ansible, Kubernetes, Chef, or Puppet.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Developing, testing, and distributing changes to software, services, and tools.
Developing subject matter expertise in VHP components.
Develop CI/CD pipelines to drive a highly sustainable infrastructure platform supply chain for Akamai Cloud fleet.
Comfortable working in new tooling, code and environments and automating what’s possible.
Collaborating with support, operations and engineering teams to troubleshoot complex problems.
