Job summary

Akamai Technologies GmbH is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the reliability and scalability of our Managed Kubernetes products. You will own the end-to-end performance and reliability, working closely with cross-functional teams to benchmark and influence product evolution.

The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and proficiency in Kubernetes and coding. This position offers comprehensive health and financial benefits.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of industrial experience required.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) is highly regarded.
• Experience with Internet protocols (DNS/HTTP/TLS/TCP) is needed.
• Experience with coding in languages like Python, Golang, or SQL.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Salt.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability, scalability, and performance of Managed Kubernetes offerings.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Execute and monitor releases effectively.
• Work with development teams to ensure reliability and performance goals.
• Build software tools to automate tasks and workflows.
