Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our highly skilled SRE team. You will ensure the operation and uptime of our Compute services and infrastructure, supervising critical systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to build tooling that monitors reliability and speeds remediation.

You will contribute to automation, streamline daily tasks, and participate in on-call rotations to guide restoration of service-impacting issues, ensuring robust, scalable cloud

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in building reliable, scalable systems.
• Strong knowledge of Linux administration and container orchestration.
• Experience with monitoring and observability practices and SLO adherence.

Responsibilities

• Providing support and mentorship for other SRE engineers within the team.
• Deploying and maintaining the platform and tools used internally.
• Improving automation to reduce toil and speed response times.
• Participating in on-call rotations, guiding restoration of service-impacting issues.
• Collaborating with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve escalations for customers.
