Job summary

Akamai Technologies in Kraków, Poland is looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to enhance the reliability and performance of Managed Kubernetes products. You will own the end-to-end reliability and scalability, automate processes, and work cross-functionally to optimize product performance.

The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience, a bachelor's degree in computer science, and proficiency in coding with Kubernetes management. The position includes benefits that support health, finances, family, and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of industrial experience.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
• Experience with Internet protocols (DNS/HTTP/TLS/TCP).
• Experience coding in Python, Golang, or SQL.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with Managed Kubernetes components.
• Experience troubleshooting Unix & Linux issues.
• Experience with observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability, scalability, and performance of Managed Kubernetes offerings.
• Automate and ensure system stability while executing and monitoring releases.
• Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Collaborate closely with development teams on deployment designs.
• Build software tools to automate analytical tasks and workflows.
• Maximize reliability and performance by prioritizing Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
• Identify areas for new technology investments.
