Job summary

Luxoft in Kraków seeks an experienced Linux Platform Engineer to own design, development, and troubleshooting for Linux-based CollabOS devices such as cameras and switches. You will address escalations, propose fixes, and drive platform improvements across kernel, drivers, and userspace while coordinating with product engineering teams.

Qualifications

• For 5+ years in Linux-based embedded platforms or similar environments.
• Deep understanding of Linux platform internals, kernel, and IPC mechanisms.
• Proficiency in C/C++ (C++17), Python, and shell scripting.
• Experience with debugging tools (strace, gdb, tcpdump, etc.).
• Ability to communicate complex issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in the design and development of next-generation products.
• Translate system architecture and requirements into software components.
• Serve as escalation point for complex Linux-based device issues with triage.
• Develop fixes, patches, and ensure integration into mainline releases.
• Create diagnostic tools and knowledge bases to streamline troubleshooting.
