Job summary

Luxoft Poland in Kraków is seeking a Software Quality Engineer (Regular level) with a strong focus on manual, component-level testing for embedded Android-based video collaboration devices. This hands-on role combines software validation with real hardware interaction in a hybrid work model.

You will design, execute, and document test scenarios, work daily with Linux/macOS terminal tools, and collaborate with developers, automation engineers, and product owners to ensure high quality,

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of manual software testing experience.
• Hands-on experience testing embedded systems or hardware.
• Strong Linux/macOS terminal skills.
• Familiarity with embedded Linux/macOS debugging tools.
• Experience using JIRA for defect tracking.
• Solid documentation and ability to create test plans.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual, component-level test cases.
• Validate individual software components and subsystems before system-level integration.
• Perform regression testing, exploratory testing, and ad hoc testing.
• Functional testing with emphasis on component behavior.
• Validate hardware-software interactions under real-world conditions.
• Verify fixes and re-test defects.
• Test design and documentation: analyze requirements, define coverage, and create test scenarios and cases.
• Create and maintain test documentation and knowledge bases in Confluence.
• Identify, report, track, and verify component-level defects using JIRA.
• Collaborate with developers, automation engineers, and product owners during development cycles.
• Work daily with Linux/macOS terminal tools and basic networking activities.
• Interact with physical devices, cameras, and test setups in lab environments.
• Contribute to automation ideas and scripts for Python-based repositories.
