Job summary

Luxoft in Kraków seeks a Software Quality Engineer (Regular level) specializing in manual, component-level testing for video collaboration devices with embedded Android. You will validate components, interact with hardware in lab settings, and collaborate across engineering and product teams in a hybrid, on-site role in Kraków.

The position requires 3–5 years of hands-on testing experience, Linux/macOS fluency, and strong documentation skills. Polish and English are essential for daily work.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in manual software testing, preferably at component or subsystem level.
• Hands-on experience testing embedded systems or hardware-related products.
• Strong Linux/macOS terminal knowledge including SSH.
• Familiarity with embedded Linux/macOS debugging tools.
• Experience with JIRA for defect tracking and test execution.
• Networking fundamentals understanding (IP addressing, connectivity).
• Ability to create clear, structured test documentation.
• Fluency in English and Polish (spoken and written).
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model with on-site presence in Kraków.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual, component-level test cases.
• Validate software components and subsystems before system-level integration.
• Perform regression, exploratory, and ad hoc testing.
• Conduct functional testing with a focus on component behavior.
• Validate hardware–software interactions on real devices.
• Verify fixes and re-test defects with logs and evidence.
• Design, maintain, and execute test scenarios and cases.
• Create and maintain test docs and Confluence pages.
• Collaborate with developers, automation engineers, and product owners.
• Identify component tests suitable for automation with the automation team.
