Job summary

Luxoft Poland is seeking a Software Quality Engineer (Regular level) focused on manual, component‑level testing for video collaboration devices with embedded Android.

You will work hands-on with hardware in a hybrid Kraków setup, validating components, performing regression and exploratory tests, and collaborating with developers, automation engineers, and product owners to ensure high product quality.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on manual software testing experience, preferably at component/subsystem level.
• Hands-on testing of embedded hardware/software products.
• Strong Linux/macOS terminal skills and SSH familiarity.
• Familiarity with embedded Linux/macOS debugging tools.
• Experience using JIRA for defect tracking and test execution.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP, connectivity, basic diagnostics).
• Ability to create clear, structured test documentation.
• Fluency in English and Polish (written and spoken).
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model with on-site presence in Kraków.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual, component-level test cases and document results.
• Validate individual software components and subsystems before system integration.
• Perform regression, exploratory and ad hoc testing to ensure quality.
• Focus on component behavior and hardware-software interactions in real conditions.
• Verify fixes and re-test defects with clear reproduction steps and logs.
• Collaborate with developers, automation engineers, and product owners during cycles.
