Software Mind is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join a Polish team working on a Netherlands-based client. You will unify multiple automation efforts into a single practice, owning Ansible playbooks, deployment and patch automation, and IaC workflows.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of automation platforms and Ansible.
• Best practices for Ansible code and repos.
• Build Ansible playbooks, roles, modules; maintain collections.
• Scale management of Linux/Windows through Ansible.
• Strong IaC understanding; patch management experience.
• Linux distributions experience; Python programming.
• Git version control applied to automation code; docs.
• English at C1 level for client communication.
• OpenStack experience is a strong plus.
• Molecule tests for Ansible; observability with Prometheus/Grafana.
• Puppet experience with eventual migration to Ansible.
• IPAM/IAM concepts; networking basics.

Responsibilities

• Write Ansible automation including playbooks, roles, modules.
• Help shape automation standards, repo structure, code reviews.
• Automate patch management across Linux and Windows.
• Deliver deployment automation and configuration management.
• Automate systems and processes across the estate.
• Lead project-driven infra transformations with automation.
• Support, configure and manage the automation platform.
• Review and maintain automation code across the team.
• Configure and manage CI/CD for automation code.
• Define inventory and source of truth used by automation.
• Introduce testing to ensure safe production releases.
• Collaborate to identify next automation priorities.
• Share knowledge and produce usable technical docs.
