Elastic is seeking a Senior Manager for its Security Endpoint Protections team. You will lead a globally distributed engineering group across Windows, macOS, and Linux, shaping the roadmap and mentoring senior researchers.

You will review designs and contribute hands-on when needed, driving collaboration and mentorship within Elastic Security. We value candid feedback, collaborative learning, and practical security leadership.

Qualifications

• Leadership of senior engineers on a globally distributed team.
• Hands-on security research background before moving to leadership.
• Deep OS internals knowledge (Windows focus, macOS/Linux secondary).
• Hands-on reverse engineering and malware analysis experience.
• Ability to anticipate evasion and design for resilience.
• Clear written and executive communication.
• Thrives in distributed, autonomous environments.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate work.
• Ability to rotate across projects and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a world-class engineering team across endpoint internals, prevention, and ML.
• Own the roadmap and drive delivery for protection engines across millions of endpoints.
• Connect team work to Elastic Security by enabling new detection and protection features.
• Direct machine learning work including data quality and telemetry features alignment with strategy.
• Drive cross‑platform protection parity across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Represent the team externally in conferences, with customers and partners.
