Job summary

Extia Group in Kraków, Poland is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join an international digital transformation program in fintech and payments. You will take technical leadership on feature developments, contribute to design and implementation, and drive platform evolution with a focus on quality and maintainability.

Design, develop, and test high-quality features, lead new feature developments, ensure maintainability, and own issue resolution to uphold high quality standards across teams.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial development experience with Java 17+.
• Hands-on with Spring Boot, Hibernate, microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with TDD/BDD and Agile practices.
• Familiarity with DevOps culture and AWS cloud environment.
• Knowledge of Git, Maven, Jenkins or similar build tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test high-quality features and platform enhancements in line with established development standards and best practices.
• Take technical lead on new feature developments, driving them through to completion within agreed timescales.
• Ensure ongoing platform maintainability by keeping complexity low, writing documentation, and sharing knowledge across teams.
• Take ownership of effective issue resolution as challenges arise, ensuring the software consistently meets high quality benchmarks.
