Job summary

Euroclear in Kraków is modernising its CREST system by migrating to Java-based services on an OpenShift-managed Kubernetes platform. The role seeks a Senior/Lead Java Software Engineer with Kafka and Docker experience to lead this transformation within a large, cloud-ready environment.

You will work in an Agile team, mentor developers, and ensure software delivery meets standards while embracing new tech and architectures.

Qualifications

• Proven design and development across the full software delivery lifecycle.
• Strong object-oriented design skills.
• Hands-on Java development experience and ability to mentor juniors.
• Experience with building and deploying containerised services using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Kafka ecosystem and event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of an end-to-end IT solution meeting functional and non-functional requirements.
• Drive migration of legacy CREST to new event-based, service-oriented architecture.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise engineering and architecture standards.
• Coordinate walkthroughs and ensure end-to-end consistency across platforms.
• Mentor junior developers and hands-on development in new technologies.
