Job summary

Euroclear is seeking a Lead Expert Engineer for the Java CoE in Kraków. You will shape Java engineering standards, drive reusable patterns, and lead technical decisions across multiple squads while ensuring security, scalability, and performance of Java-based solutions.

You will mentor engineers, contribute to frameworks and training paths, and promote cloud-ready, containerised architectures with robust SDLC practices in a diverse, international environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive Java development and hands-on engineering leadership experience.
• Proven ability to define and drive engineering standards and patterns.
• Strong understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud readiness.
• Experience guiding multi-squad decisions and stakeholder alignment.
• Fluent English with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across squads.
• Drive adoption of Java CoE standards, reusable patterns, and best practices.
• Oversee design reviews, performance tuning, and security considerations.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, QA, and product owners to align solutions.
