Job summary

Euroclear is modernising its CREST system by migrating to Java-based services on OpenShift Kubernetes. This role sits in the Group Business Solutions division and offers a hands-on opportunity to shape a long-term transformation with cloud-ready infrastructure.

As Senior/Lead Java Software Engineer, you will work in an Agile team, lead design and implementation, mentor colleagues, and ensure high-quality delivery across the SDLC using Kafka and Docker.

Qualifications

• Proven experience across the full software delivery lifecycle.
• Strong Java and microservices development.
• Containerised services using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Kafka ecosystem and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver migration of legacy CREST app to event-based, service-oriented architecture.
• Lead end-to-end IT solution delivery meeting requirements.
• Ensure alignment with engineering standards.
• Coordinate walkthroughs across teams to maintain consistency.
• Mentor junior developers in new technologies.
