Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer in Wroclaw to build and maintain client order management and crypto settlement systems. You will break down complex requirements, own end-to-end delivery, and shape platform architecture while ensuring high quality and scalable design.

Expect collaboration with peers, knowledge sharing, and driving technical improvements across DDD-driven domains, Kafka-based messaging, and cloud-native deployments using Docker/Kubernetes and GitLab

Qualifications

• Five+ years of server-side Java in enterprise environments.
• Experience designing robust, scalable distributed systems and applying DDD.
• Strong knowledge of Kafka, Spring and Spring Boot.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and CQRS/read models.
• Cloud experience, preferably Azure, and DevOps mindset with Kubernetes/Docker.
• Fluent English communication; willingness to experiment with AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Break large requirements into deliverable stories and deliver end-to-end features.
• Own end-to-end delivery from inception to production release and support.
• Collaborate to shape future platform architecture and improve code quality.
• Share knowledge and drive technical improvements across the team.
• Present and document major changes to stakeholders.
• Design REST APIs and Avro schemas with evolution considerations.
