Job summary

Miratech Poland is seeking a Senior Java Developer to work on customization and maintenance for a major European public sector client. You will contribute to building secure, scalable tax administration software and collaborate with a distributed team.

The role emphasizes backend Java with Spring and Quarkus, microservices, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD; strong English and communication skills are required, plus experience with PostgreSQL, Kafka, and REST/RESTEasy.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Java development.
• Strong experience with Spring Framework, Quarkus.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and containers (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and messaging (Kafka).
• Good understanding of testing principles.
• Ability to communicate confidently in English.

Responsibilities

• Implement software components according to the design specifications
• Perform system integration and testing, problem troubleshooting, and resolution
• Perform unit testing of software components
• Participate in estimating project efforts and delivery timelines
• Proactively collaborate with teammates and communicate with the Project Stakeholders to ensure that the Project efforts proceed efficiently and with predictability
• Provide technical input into product roadmaps
• Participate in triage activities (incident analysis and prioritization)
• Support and optimize CI/CD processes
