Job summary

State Street's CRD team is seeking a Java Developer to enhance and maintain Alpha/Charles River modules within an agile Scrum team. You will work on large, complex software enhancements, collaborating with BAs and PMs to deliver scalable solutions.

The role requires strong Java, Spring, SQL, and backend tech experience, with exposure to Kafka and Microservices. Kubernetes/Azure exposure is a plus, with a focus on high-quality, resilient software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required; MS degree strongly preferred.
• At least 5 years of Java full lifecycle experience in a similar industry.
• Proficient in core Java, server-side Java tech, Spring frameworks, Agile methods, and SQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, test, and debug Java software within Alpha/CRD modules.
• Collaborate with BAs and PMs to create simple, scalable software solutions.
• Lead problem solving for major projects and resolve critical software issues.
• Develop, test, and implement programs using Java; learn needed languages.
• Guide code reviews with informed, critical analysis of proposed changes.
