Job summary

State Street is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications within an agile team. You will combine strong Java and backend engineering skills with AI/ML/NLP concepts to build reliable, secure, maintainable AI-enabled solutions.

You will work with Product, BA, architects, and engineers to translate requirements into robust technical designs, integrate ML models and AI services, and ensure quality through automated testing and monitoring.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in enterprise Java applications with full lifecycle experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices and Kafka.
• Understanding of ML/NLP fundamentals and LLM integration into backend apps.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise Java applications.
• Integrate ML models and AI services into backend systems.
• Collaborate with product, architect and engineering teams to translate requirements.
• Apply best practices for testing, performance, observability, and security.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews.
