Job summary

State Street, through its Charles River Development (CRD) division, seeks a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications in an agile team. You will blend strong Java backend skills with practical ML/NLP and LLM knowledge to build AI-enabled, secure solutions.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience across the full software development lifecycle for enterprise Java applications.
• Strong knowledge of core Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, relational databases, and Kafka.
• Good understanding of ML/NLP fundamentals, including classification, model evaluation, tokenization, embeddings, semantic similarity, and information extraction.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, test, and maintain complex enterprise software using Java and related technologies.
• Design scalable backend services and contribute to evolution of core application frameworks.
• Integrate ML models, LLMs, and AI services into enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, architects, and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering practices.
