Job summary

Nordea Group Technology is seeking an Expert Java Developer / Solution Designer to design and build backend services using Java and Spring Boot within a modern microservices landscape. You will shape architecture and drive AI‑assisted development to accelerate delivery and quality.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, translate needs into scalable solutions, and lead technical directions, champion clean code, TDD, and design patterns, while exploring AI tools to improve productivity

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java (17+) and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and building microservice‑based systems.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience working with messaging systems such as Kafka or MQ.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, clean architecture, and modern development practices.
• Experience adapting AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) or agents into everyday development workflows.
• Enjoy hands‑on development with architecture thinking and business stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot in a modern microservices architecture.
• Take ownership of solution design and technical architecture for complex features.
