Job summary

intent is seeking a backend engineer to take ownership of technical direction on IoT projects. You will work fully remote, impacting architecture, infrastructure, and mentoring team members. This initial freelance role offers flexible hours and can lead to a permanent role with benefits after three months.

The candidate should have 7+ years of experience in backend development, proficient in Node.js and AWS, and be comfortable navigating ambiguity while leading technical discussions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend development with leadership in technical direction.
• Deep hands-on AWS expertise including EKS, Aurora, DynamoDB.
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines, IoT protocols, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve backend architecture for IoT projects.
• Make technical trade-off calls and communicate them effectively.
• Design and maintain cloud infrastructure with reliability.
