Job summary

PwC Polska invites an Internal Controls Senior Consultant with German to join the MSO Internal Control Testing team in Kraków. You will deliver design and operating effectiveness testing for business and IT controls across international engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery.

You will mentor junior colleagues, coordinate tasks within multi-location teams, and communicate risk insights to stakeholders in German and English, leveraging new technologies and AI-powered tools where appropriate.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience in risk management, internal control testing, SOX, or internal audit.
• Fluency in German and English at C1 level for stakeholder communication.
• Knowledge of internal control frameworks and SOX requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems and technology-enabled controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver internal controls activities including design effectiveness assessments, walkthroughs, and operating effectiveness testing for business and IT controls.
• Support internal controls projects and workstreams across territories and international engagements.
• Act as a senior team member ensuring high-quality delivery and mentoring juniors.
• Communicate Risk & Controls insights to client stakeholders in German and English.
• Identify process improvements and support automation and AI-enabled testing approaches.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and knowledge sharing within the practice.
