PwC is seeking an Internal Controls Senior Consultant with German to join the MSO Internal Control Testing team in Warsaw. The role involves delivering design and operating effectiveness testing for business and IT controls, coordinating with PwC teams across territories, and mentoring colleagues, while engaging with client stakeholders in German and English.

Ideal candidates have 4–5 years of experience in risk management or internal audit, fluent German and English (C1), and a strong ability

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of experience in risk management, internal control testing, SOX, or internal audit.
• Fluency in German and English (C1 level).
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder-management skills.
• Knowledge of internal control frameworks, SOX requirements, risk management principles and internal audit leading practices.
• Experience with data analytics and AI-powered testing approaches.

Responsibilities

• Deliver internal controls activities, including design effectiveness assessments and operating effectiveness testing for business and IT controls.
• Support internal controls projects and workstreams across territories and international engagements.
• Mentor junior team members and coordinate tasks to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Present testing results to client stakeholders in German and English and discuss risks and controls.
• Support remediation activities and contribute to governance improvement and methodology enhancements.
