Job summary

Avient is seeking HR professionals to manage programs for client groups, including leadership development and international assignments, and to administer HR policies for employees. The role partners with recruiting to staff positions, coordinates onboarding, and supports performance management and employee development.

Regular exposure to manufacturing environments in company plants will be part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Manages specific programs or processes for client groups including leadership development and international assignments.
• Administers HR policies, programs and procedures for employees in assigned client groups covering salary and wage administration, benefits inquiries, retirement plan inquiries, recruitment, HR information systems, payroll/time and attendance recording, organizational development and training plans.
• Partners with recruiting and business unit to staff and hire non-exempt, exempt, and executive level positions.
• Ensures reward and recognition programs are utilized.
• Coordinates onboarding activities for business unit hires.
• Develops hiring requisitions for client group positions.
• Manages employee counseling plans, handles conflict resolution and performance improvement programs.
• Partners with managers and senior leaders to address employee issues and guide performance management and development of high potential employees.
• Develops knowledge of business units, customers, competitors, products, markets and key business metrics.
• Gains exposure to manufacturing environments through regular visits to business unit plants.
• Special projects as requested.
