Job summary

SoftServe is seeking a Senior Go Engineer to join a European cross-functional team, delivering secure, cloud-native backend and middleware solutions. You will design scalable microservices, work with PostgreSQL, and contribute to SRE activities across an EU-based PaaS platform focused on security and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with global teams, participate in Agile ceremonies, and drive performance, reliability, and secure software practices while supporting modern cloud

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with Go.
• Hands-on microservices experience.
• Proficient with PostgreSQL databases.
• Strong coding, testing, and debugging skills.
• Secure software development practices.
• Experience with containers and cloud tech (Docker, Kubernetes, VMs, CloudFoundry).
• IaC tools familiarity (Terraform, Ansible) is a plus.
• Observability with Grafana/Prometheus.
• Independent, agile team player with good English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable microservices using Go.
• Build backend services with focus on performance and reliability.
• Own operational and SRE activities including incident support.
• Work with PostgreSQL for data processing and storage.
• Ensure secure development practices and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features.
• Troubleshoot performance, stability, and security issues.
• Participate in testing and code reviews.
• Support CI/CD and automation efforts.
• Continuously improve existing solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies.
