Job summary

Spyrosoft Ltd. is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js, and to contribute to microservices with Golang and Python. The role involves direct collaboration with German-speaking clients, leading a team, and shaping data models in PostgreSQL.

You will work on REST and gRPC APIs, containerize with Docker, and deploy on Kubernetes (AWS). Independence and strong communication are essential to drive delivery in an agile setup.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development at Senior Software Engineer level.
• Fluent German (C1/C2) – mandatory; communicate with business stakeholders and clients.
• Very good command of English.
• Experience working directly with clients: requirements gathering, solution discussions, collaboration.
• Experience designing scalable backend services and microservices.
• Experience with AWS services and cloud environments.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL and database design for scalable systems.
• Good understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience designing and developing REST and/or gRPC APIs.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive solutions from concept to delivery.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js as primary stack.
• Contribute to microservices built with Golang and Python.
• Collaborate with German-speaking clients to understand requirements and propose solutions.
• Lead a development team of up to 10 members.
• Build and optimize PostgreSQL data models and queries.
• Develop and maintain APIs using gRPC and REST.
• Containerize applications with Docker and deploy on Kubernetes (AWS).
• Contribute to architecture decisions for distributed systems.
• Ensure system scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend (Angular) and backend (NestJS) teams.
• Work independently from concept to production delivery.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and code reviews.
