Job summary

RSB Automotive Consulting is seeking a Mechanical HW Engineer - Production Support to act as the main technical liaison between production sites and Product Engineering. You will assess and resolve mechanical and thermomechanical production challenges, coordinate investigations, and implement corrective actions to improve product durability and process stability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 8 years of professional experience in mechanical/production engineering.
• Knowledge of mechanical design fundamentals, GD&T, material properties and mechanical behavior.
• Hands-on experience with failure investigation and structured problem-solving tools.
• Experience in Design of Experiments coordination or execution.
• Ability to translate investigation results into practical design/manufacturing improvements.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial engineering assessments of production concerns.
• Coordinate technical communications between global production sites and Product Engineering.
• Investigate issues related to mechanical strength, assembly deviations, structural performance and thermal connections.
• Propose containment measures and determine escalation paths.
• Plan and participate in DOE activities to identify mechanical factors causing failures.
• Contribute to technical investigations and data-driven conclusions.
• Analyze supplier modifications and their impact on functionality and life-cycle.
• Document findings and present actions to international stakeholders.
• Ensure lessons learned update design practices, DFMEA, and standards.
• Support continuous improvement to strengthen product robustness and manufacturing effectiveness.
