Job summary

RSB Automotive Consulting seeks a Mechanical HW Engineer - Production Support to join the global manufacturing operations team. You will serve as the main technical link between production sites and Product Engineering, driving initial assessments, technical investigations, containment actions, and corrective measures to improve durability and process stability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 8 years of professional experience in mechanical/production engineering.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design fundamentals, GD&T, and materials properties.
• Experience with failure investigation and root cause analysis.
• Experience with Design of Experiments and cross-functional investigations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary engineering assessments of production concerns.
• Coordinate technical communications between global locations and Product Engineering.
• Investigate issues related to mechanical strength, assembly deviations, and thermal connections.
• Plan and participate in Design of Experiments to identify mechanical factors causing failures.
• Contribute to root cause investigations with data, tests, and problem-solving methods.
• Prepare clear technical documentation and present findings to international stakeholders.
• Apply lessons learned to DFMEA and internal engineering standards.
• Support continuous improvement to strengthen product robustness and manufacturing effectiveness.
