Job summary

thyssenkrupp Automotive Body Solutions is seeking a skilled automation project manager for plant engineering in the automotive sector. You will lead the execution of automation scopes, coordinate external planning, and act as the main technical contact for customers and partners.

Responsibilities include RFQ preparation, supplier evaluation, on-site installation coordination, and reporting on costs, schedule, and progress with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or comparable field.
• Professional plant engineering experience in automotive supplier or automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical hardware design, PLC programming and commissioning.
• Solid experience in project management and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage the automation scope in plant engineering projects of varying sizes.
• Act as the decision-maker for automation scope with the Project Manager.
• Serve as the technical contact for automation for project partners and customers.
• Design, plan and coordinate external planning for automation in plant engineering.
• Prepare RFQs, evaluate quotations and support supplier selection.
• Coordinate installation, assembly and commissioning on site for automation.
• Report costs, schedule and project status; implement corrective actions.
• Manage change cost and claims with Procurement, Sales and Controlling.
