People Can Fly in Warsaw, Poland, is seeking an experienced game animator to join our international, AAA-level team. You will craft high-quality character animation for our titles, using hand animation and mocap data, aligned with gameplay and storytelling goals.

Collaboration with design, art, and tech is essential to deliver believable, player-centric experiences. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in games animation, strong animation principles, experience with creatures, anatomy, and tools like

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience as an animator in games.
• Strong understanding of animation principles: timing, weight, staging.
• Ability to translate game story and gameplay into believable, lively animations.
• Experience animating creatures and quadrupeds.
• Solid understanding of character anatomy.
• Proficiency with animation tools (Maya, MotionBuilder, etc.).
• Ability to follow directions and implement feedback.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Follow the game's vision for animation in line with story and gameplay.
• Create high-quality content using hand key animation and motion capture data.
• Develop animations that support gameplay and visuals.
• Implement and iterate animation assets in-game.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver player-centric experiences.
• Troubleshoot animation issues across departments.
• Assist in recruitment projects with HR collaboration when needed.
• Prototype new archetypes with Game Design.
• Work with motion capture shoots and actor direction.
• Support onboarding of new hires.
