Job summary

Workplays in Katowice is seeking a passionate UI/UX Designer to elevate the player experience with intuitive interfaces. You will drive design from concept to implementation and ensure seamless Unreal Engine integration, collaborating with cross-functional teams across the development pipeline.

You will craft feature designs, prototypes in Figma, high‑fidelity assets, and a cohesive design system, while testing with players to iterate on usability and aesthetics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of UI/UX experience (at least 1 year in game development)
• Good understanding of game design basics: gameplay loops, feedback loops, accessibility
• Strong wireframing skills and ability to explain design decisions
• Proficient in Figma including prototyping
• Excellent skills in creating high-fidelity UI mockups/assets in Photoshop/Illustrator
• User-centered design with usability testing and feature ideation
• Collaborative and passionate team player with interest in gaming trends
• Strong aesthetic sense and ability to create cohesive visuals
• Passion for games; ability to both create and play games
• On-site work: willing to work from Katowice office three days a week

Responsibilities

• Feature design: design new features and game systems with the player’s needs in mind; create user flows, IA and wireframes.
• Prototyping in Figma: create interactive prototypes for PC and consoles and test with the team.
• High-Fidelity Asset Creation: prepare polished UI mockups/assets in Photoshop/Illustrator following art style and design system.
• Assets in Engine: prepare assets for Unreal Engine, including texture atlases.
• UMG: improve UI layouts and animations in UMG.
• Research & Testing: work with UX Research team on playtests and apply results to designs.
• Design System: help keep design system consistent and up to date.
