Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Full-stack Developer to deliver Python/FastAPI services and React/TypeScript UI at scale. You will work with PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, and Databricks, improving performance and integrations across the stack.

The role involves designing APIs, tuning high-load databases, and contributing across front-end and back-end tasks in a fast-paced startup environment. Strong English communication is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production work using Python, FastAPI and SQL.
• Strong expertise in web application engineering, API design, and third-party integrations.
• Hands-on experience operating high-load databases and tuning query performance.
• Working knowledge of TypeScript and React with readiness to contribute across front end and back end.
• Practical experience with GenAI engineering tools, ideally Claude Code.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset, able to collaborate and self-direct.
• English proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Build and support web applications using Python/FastAPI and SQL.
• Design APIs and integrations that scale with high-load database operations.
• Implement front-end features with TypeScript and React.
• Leverage GenAI engineering tools to enhance workflows.
• Coordinate with the team and deliver assigned work independently.
