Bold New Solutions - BNS Power is seeking a Lead Field Service Engineer for Power Systems to oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance at customer sites. You will provide technical support during projects, deliver remote troubleshooting, and train customers on system operations.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong engineering skills, and the ability to travel extensively to support offshore installations and port visits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of field service and/or commissioning experience.
• U.S. Citizen with the ability to achieve security clearance for Department of Defense projects.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 85% of the time on short notice.
• Must be physically fit to be able to board vessels offshore.

Responsibilities

• Performs installation and commissioning activities at customer site locations during ship construction; leads small teams.
• Troubleshoots at site during port visits or at sea to diagnose problems and implement solutions.
• Ensures technical integrity and proper installation of GE Power Conversion power systems and controls.
• Develops presentations and trains customers on system operations.
• Promotes services, parts, CMUs and upgrades.
• Performs other related engineering tasks to support commissioning and customer satisfaction.
• Provides on-call support in response to service requests.
